Q: Can Steel City Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers LLC walk my dog(s) less than five days a week?
Yes. We can be there five days a week or less if that is what they need.
Q: Is Steel City Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers LLC and its employees insured and bonded?
Yes. We are an insured and bonded company. All of our Walkers/Sitters are employees of the company. They are insured and bonded, trained and a background check is done. An update with a picture is sent after every visit through our portal/app.
Q: Do I need an appointment?
Yes. We will visit your home prior to caring for your pet. We get very detailed information, so we know exactly how to care for your pets and your home while you are away. The initial meet and greet is $25.
Q: How much notice do you need to set up services?
A minimum of two weeks is preferred, but we can usually accommodate any emergency request.
Q: What are the payment terms?
Payment is due prior to services. Our portal makes the payment process simple.
Q: Does my pet need to have a current rabies vaccination?
Yes, dogs must have a current rabies vaccination.
Q: Can Steel City Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers LLC keep my keys on file for future visits?
Yes. The advantage to keeping your keys on file is that we can visit your pet(s) with much shorter notice, and you are not inconvenienced with meetings for key return and key pick up which are $15 per occurrence. If you do not wish to keep your keys on file, a meeting will be scheduled to return your keys once you have returned home. We have a hand-to-hand policy for the safety of your home.
Q: Is it possible to schedule a two, three or even a four hour visit?
Yes. The most requested visit is 30 minutes, but we can add 15 minute increments for $10 each to any visit. We can visit for 45 minutes or for up to 4 hours+ if needed.
Q: Can you transport my pet to daycare, groomer, or the vet?
Yes. We can safely transport your pet(s) to and from doggie daycare, the groomer or the vet. Transport is billed at $25 per 1/2 hour plus the standard mileage rate.
Q: Does Steel City Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers LLC do dog walks on Saturday and Sunday?
At this time, we are only doing weekend walks for our existing clients. We are not taking anymore new weekend clients.
Q: Can Steel City Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers LLC walk my dog at my hotel?
Yes. We can do the set up process via our portal, and working with hotel concierge, we can visit your dog(s) for whatever amount of time is needed (one hour to six hours). The visit includes walks, feeding and cuddles back at the hotel. Advance reservation is best for availability for longer visits
Q: Can Steel City Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers LLC bring my dog to my wedding for pictures?
Yes. We can bring your furry family members to whatever part of your wedding you want them to be at... ceremony, pictures or the reception. We also can do overnight visits at your home while you are on your honeymoon
